ODevC Yatra 2018 was off to a great start today at the
Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET) campus in Chennai. It brought back memories of me attending Down Sterling decades ago (when I was attending university in Chennai).
AIOUG President, Sai Penumuru (@sai_penumuru), kicked off
the event, welcoming attendees and introducing the speakers. The Chennai
event had a great turnout!
These are the local chapters of the AIOUG, coming together
to make these events happen across the seven cities.
Shout out to Jennifer Nicholson, Oracle Developer Community
Programs, who has been working closely with the AIOUG to provide sponsorship
and speaker support. Thanks to all these folks working behind the scenes to
make this event possible.
My first session in the morning was "Oracle Cloud: Bridging the Skills
Gap" and my second session in the afternoon was "Oracle Cloud: Preparing your Roadmap". Both sessions were very well attended. I am planning to blog about topic each separately.
Some of the questions followed me outside the room as well.
Here's the Chennai selfie with all attendees (we plan to do this in each city). Taking the selfie is one of our Oracle speakers, Sandesh Rao (@sandeshr)
After a quick dinner at the airport, it was time to board the flight to Bengaluru.
One down, six to go. Will post from Bengaluru tomorrow.

I like answering questions asked by the attendees and tend to devote sufficient time for Q&A.

Thanks again to this wonderful team of AIOUG Chennai Chapter volunteers for all their hard work!
Our ride to the airport was uneventful. Bjoern Rost (@brost) enjoyed the skillful maneuvering by our driver.
